I’ve been a patient since birth almost 40 years ago. This surgery has gone from being a beacon for patient care to a badly structured ticket machine. Almost impossible to get an appointment, absolutely shambolic - peoples lives could be a risk but the ‘computer says no’. Today my grandmother went for her routine appointment, sat waiting 30 mins past her appointment slot only to be told there was no nurse to clean her dressing from melanoma. I was told I could have a prescription so dropped what was required in at 2.30 and was told to come back at 5. Back at 5 only for the horrific receptionist to snort it’s 5.30 at me. I was then told I couldn’t have a prescription despite being told I could and making 2 visits. What’s worse is when I complained rather than acknowledge my complaint and explain the patient complaint process the receptionist simply walked off. I wonder what the elderly or vulnerable patient death rate has gone up by in recent years? I’d leave but I almost think they want patients to leave, it’s the only explanation for the service they provide (or don’t provide).

Almost impossible to get an appointment unless it is an emergency! If it was an emergency I would take myself to A&E! Appear to work on a two week basis, and appointments not released until the Monday for the following two weeks! Ridiculous! Staff unable to offer appointments! I wish I had th luxury of being free all the time but for someone with a job/ family commitments good luck getting an appointment!

The main problem at this surgery are most (but not all) of the receptionists. They insist on knowing ur symptoms & the decision is up to them then if u warrant an appointment or even a phone call.Their attitude is disgraceful.I've seen so many come & go in th 8 yrs I've been a patient there.I recently made 4 journeys to the surgery for my repeat perscription to be told it hadnt been done yet.I had requested my meds 6 days previous to this but they showed no empathy whatsoever at my frustration & needs for my tablets. This is totally wrong that patients are bullied into discussing their ailments with a receptionist.Their not doctors & have no right to make a decision as to why the person needs to be seen.Im happy to say I've left the practice now but could not fault the service I received from Dr Sinclair & Dr Gasper. They are amazing doctors but the receptionists let the whole surgery down.
